Spome

A spome is a gaseous biological phenomena only found on Tarati. They are colonies of bioluminescent bacteria that are carried on wind and air currents. In warm weather, spomes migrate to the upper atmosphere, and in cooler temperatures they float at near-ground altitudes.
Biology
Spomes are colonies of microscopic organisms. They are lighter than air, and they are able to float on wind currents. Spomes lack the ability to propel themselves and go wherever the wind takes them.
A spome is jelly-like in texture. It will bounce when coming into contact with most objects. under force a spome can be crushed or split open easily. In most occasions the surviving remnants will form new spomes.
Spomes are filter-feeders thriving on air particles. Spomes have little nutritional value themselves so they have no major predators.
Spomes are bioluminescent, and during the night they can be seen glowing softly.
Flavour
Although they may look delicious, the taste and texture of spomes is largely unpleasant. However, the Norp has adapted to graze on spomes.
